Our TotalE™ Approach Improves Your Energy Strategy

Do you want to improve the way your commercial building uses energy, reduce your carbon footprint and generate savings? If so, you can benefit from Helios Energy’s TotalE™ Approach. TotalE™ provides a uniquely comprehensive way for Helios to assist clients in extracting maximum value from Energy Management, Energy Efficiency and Clean Energy Generation and Storage investments. By combining tailored solutions for each investment opportunity, the Helios Team can help make your facility safer, cleaner and more efficient, all while fully realizing financial value.

How does our TotalE™ Approach work? Across three pillars, Energy Management, Energy Efficiency, and Clean Energy, we drive down and optimize consumption, then we implement clean energy production and storage.

Energy Management

First, we help clients identify current consumption levels through our energy analysis and audit process. This includes ‘front of the meter’ measurements and metering, as well as fault detection. After this process, we craft a Strategic Energy Plan tailored to identify how we will meet our client’s unique energy goals. This pillar is about the bigger picture of your energy consumption, and this is the point where we give you the tools to manage your energy usage and consumption. That way, you can control and monitor your building’s energy systems and their level of efficiency.

Energy Efficiency

With a curated Strategic Energy Plan, we then work to implement a set of Energy Efficiency technologies that will reduce total energy consumption, reduce carbon footprint and begin driving financial savings.  Energy efficiency technologies include, but are not limited to, LED lighting systems, smart transformers, HVAC units and controls, and HVAC solar thermal systems. Implementation typically begins with LED lighting systems as  these solutions require 50-60% less energy than fluorescent tubes or incandescent bulbs and perform at greater than 70% of original lighting output for significantly longer. Often, we follow-up LED installation with HVAC retrofit and smart transformer implementation to optimize working conditions and drive further savings.

Clean Energy Generation and Storage

Finally, we explore clean energy generation and storage options that are ‘right-sized’ for new, lower energy consumption levels. This step is ‘behind the meter’ and may include the implementation of solar energy, wind energy or energy storage solutions. In addition, if feasible, Clean Energy options could include owner installed and operated systems, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and purchase of off-site renewable energy at discounted rates. When combined with Energy Efficiency solutions, Clean Energy technologies can work to reduce expenditures by another 50+%!

If you’re ready to drive savings, improve safety, and make your facility, cleaner and more efficient, Helios is here to help! With the TotalE™ approach, we customize the path to success to  meet your goals!
