Choosing the Right Solar PV and Storage Option for Your Facility

Have you thought about installing a commercial solar project to power your facility? If you have, do you know which type of installation best suits your facility’s needs? It’s alright if you’re unsure about what is suitable, this review will highlight the variety of options now available to your organization.

Ground Mount Solar: Ground mount solar installations require clear, open land that receives large amounts of sunlight. If you want to solely power your facility, the Helios Team can assist in determining if the land on your grounds, near your facilities is appropriate. If you’re planning to develop a large-scale solar project, the Team will assess the availability and potential of larger land tracts for the installation. In all, determining the appropriate parcel of land to support the scope of your energy needs is absolutely key.

Rooftop Mount Solar: A rooftop installation is an excellent solar option for organizations with facilities in urban areas or other locations with little or no open ground space. Most notably, a rooftop solar PV system can work to protect the roof’s surface by blocking the surface from UV rays and precipitation.

Carport Mount Solar: Carport solar mounts have a variety of usages. For example, they can charge electric vehicles parked beneath them and protect vehicles from the elements. The Helios Team can explore the potential for multi-purpose carports and determine if such an option meets your solar energy needs.

Solar Energy Storage: Solar energy storage systems, often called battery systems, are often installed alongside PV arrays as they siphon energy from your array and store it in a lithium-ion battery. The storage system is equipped to power your facility during evening and nighttime hours, or during outages or times of inclement weather. Together, the solar array and battery system allow your facility to become 100% powered by clean energy 24/7.

Although you might be unsure of which system is best, the Helios Energy™ Team can help your organization realize its clean energy goals with the appropriate solar array and storage solution. Helios has the resources and capabilities to assess current and projected energy needs, then design and install a system that is uniquely tailored to physical specifications of your facility and land. The Helios Team is here to make the complex world of energy easy!
